 when measuring the left corner of sale or on a plasterboard which set of numbers on a protractor metal should I read? because there are two sets of figures.

 A set is from left to right, and the other is for the right to left. Align one of the lines approach zero, and see where the other side is. A right-angle is 90 degrees. If your point is smaller, it is an acute angle. Broad is a blunt edge.
